Digital curation has made a huge impression in my online presence in many ways, mainly consciously, but also unconsiously. Whether it is Spotify, Pinterest, or my personal favorite, Twitter, my online presence has been shaped in many ways through ads displayed to me on Spotify, before I was able to pay for premium, or through family members that wanted to keep track of what I was doing with my life. I also think my online presence is set up differently based on the social media account I'm using. For instance, the digital curation that has consciously shaped my presence on twitter is one that is far less formal than say my Facebook. My digital curation on Twitter is set up to make me and my followers laugh or smile through the endless dog pictures, videos, and memes that I'm constantly retweeting. However, I am still unconsciously being careful to protect myself and account by locking my account to where only the people that I know can follow me and see the tweets that like, post, or retweet. This is different however on Spotify as my account is open to the public so anyone can listen to the playlists that I have spent hours making when I should have been doing my homework. The thing I like about the digital curation of Spotify is that it allows you to set up playlists for specific genres, artists, or albums, while also allowing you to make personal playlists private if the account owner please. As for Pinterest, my set up is virtually without barriers. I allow everyone to see all my Pinterest boards and ideas that I've pinned whether it's what I want my future wedding to look like, what outfits are trending this fall, or more recently, how to maximize the space in my dorm room. When it comes to deciding what I want to display I usually make a decision on how each post, pin, or playlist is going to reflect my character and whether or not my tweet is going to end with me receiving a very angry phone call from my mother. My Spotify playlists are mostly made without much thought and generally are just a bunch of random songs that I like at that moment in time. Twitter, however, is a totally different ball game as more thought is put into whether or not future employers would enjoy whatever it is I'm posting or retweeting as I would still like to get a job eventually. I also have made my more "controversial" accounts private so that I have the ability to determine who can see my posts. Overall, I feel as though digital curation has shaped my online presence many ways, these are just the most important.

I like how you touched on the topic of the varying posts depending on the social media platform. A lot of the time I ignore the fact that different platforms are utilized for different things, and posting one thing on a certain platform can be more advantageous than posting it on another. I also think its great how you made a point to show that your own social media is not only going to be utilized by you and your followers, but also by potential employers as well. Great job:)
